Brevard Nature Alliance is excited to announce we have found a new home for the Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival! Having outgrown the premises used for many years in the Titusville area we are pleased to announce that our new home for the 2022-2023-2024 festivals will be the Radisson Resort at the Port, Cape Canaveral, Florida.
The Radisson Resort was chosen for the amount of exhibit center and meeting space they were able to offer us, along with proximity to a number of restaurants, other hotels, attractions, and ease of access to the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and birding sites that have made the Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival the must go to festival for fabulous field trips and birds! It’s an easy shuttle ride from Orlando airport if you choose to not rent a car, hotel rooms will be available at special birder rates…imagine being able to sleep there, board a bus there, come back and enjoy the presentations, stroll through the two exhibit centers and then walk to a variety of nearby restaurants!
Mark your calendars! We hope to see you for our 25th Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival, February 2nd-6th, 2022. Help us celebrate 25 years of amazing birding!

Presenting our new logo for 2021! Our new logo, designed by Nighthawk Agency, features a new take on our Florida endemic bird species, the Florida Scrub Jay. You’ll also notice the sawgrass fronds and a nod to our namesake, the Space Coast!
Discover why Florida’s Space Coast is your launch pad to incredible nature-based experiences. The Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival features world class photographers, field trips, workshops and presentations. Florida is rich in native populations of wildlife and birds, but it is also on a busy route for migrating birds stopping over for the winter. Florida’s Space Coast – home to Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Canaveral National Seashore, and Kennedy Space Center, is one of the best birding locations in the United States because it is situated at the convergence of two zones — temperate and subtropical — creating a natural diversity of unique habitats that attract varied bird species.
For a crash course on Florida’s wildlife, this Festival is ideal for all ages, from beginners to veterans.
The Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival continually strives to create an environment that is welcoming and inclusive of all people worldwide. We will continue to build on our inclusive community and environment going forward.
We are open to suggestions on how to provide a welcoming and safe environment at the festival for all birders, photographers, and nature enthusiasts. If you have an idea or would like to recommend yourself or someone else as a presenter, guide, vendor, or sponsor at the 25th Annual Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival, February 2nd – 6th, 2022 please complete the form below. Planning will begin in July of 2021 and you will be contacted for further details at that time.
A decision was made to host the 2021 virtual festival to thank and support the businesses and organizations that have supported the festival through the years—reaching out to our past sponsors, vendors, and guides to be a part of the virtual festival at no cost to them. We felt that given the devastating effects that the pandemic has had on birding and ecotourism, this was the best way to support the SCBWF family despite our extremely limited resources given the cancellation of the actual event due to an abundance of caution. Thank you for supporting this event and the SCBWF family.
