We are very pleased to report that if the Government Shutdown does not end, only one SCBWF trip will be cancelled: Historic Sites of Canaveral National Seashore. If you are registered for that trip and want to drop it and schedule something else, please go ahead and do so (links provided below). If you want to “wait and see” and the trip is cancelled, you will receive a refund for that trip after the Festival.
Most of the SCBWF’s trips are on State and County lands and are unaffected by the Federal Government Shutdown; and some Federal properties which are closed to the general public are open for birding activity. Three trips will slightly change their itinerary, visiting similar ecosystems with comparable bird populations:
River to the Sea Rundown (formerly North Brevard Hot Spots)
Florida Scrub-Jay and Scrub Fire Ecology
Playalinda Beach: Sea-birding from Shore
If you are registered for these trips (or any trip that has changes in meetup location), you will receive a separate email containing directions.
To view a copy of your Thank You page on your computer including session registration and purchases, if applicable, please click here.
OR – a mobile app is available, making it easy to view your itinerary and easily update your schedule. To download the mobile app: click here from your mobile device.
Meetup directions are not currently included in the itinerary, but are available in the Festival Guide at www.SCBWF.org (look for green type). We will post updated directions in the app.
We expect favorable Birding conditions, and look forward to welcoming you next week!
